Some are just beginning, others have lasted for years.
We have built something, arrived somewhere, made a choice.

It matters enough to us that we want to give it a place.

That is the place I am interested in.

💫 Your child is leaving to build a life of their own. Together, you want to discover a new form for the relationship that will continue to connect you.

💫 You have become a mother or father, and suddenly you see your own parent differently. And with them, your childhood and what you want to pass on one day.

💫 Your children have left home, and you are moving from a large family house to a smaller one. After decades, you are creating a home once again this time, primarily for the two of you.

💫 You and your siblings have inherited the family home from your parents. You want to give it a new form, but also a meaning that can carry forward into the lives of your own children.

💫 You are getting married. You know what matters between you, and you want to keep making room for it in your everyday life.

💫 You are living the life you once wished for. Now you want to give a place to what is truly valuable within it.

1) THE MEETING

We begin with you, not with an idea of the painting.

I listen, ask questions, and notice what draws your attention. I work with a Gestalt approach and creative techniques that, alongside words, engage imagination, association, feeling, and the body.

I am interested in what brings you here. What matters to you within it, what you return to, what makes you take notice, and what is worth staying with for a while.

Gradually, we discern an ORIENTING POINT that I take from our meeting into the painting process.

It may take the form of a word, a sentence, a feeling, a memory, a relationship, or a name of your own that only emerges between us. It does not determine what the painting will look like, but defines the place from which I begin to paint.

If the painting is being created for a specific interior, the space naturally becomes part of the entire process.

2) PAINTING

With the orienting point and inspiration, I return to my studio and begin my work as an artist.

I enter the painting process without a preconceived idea of its final form.

I observe, take a step, notice what it brings, and let that inform the next. Gradually, colours, textures, proportions, and atmosphere come together.

At a certain point, no further step is needed. The painting stands on its own.

3) THE UNVEILING

I present the finished painting to you at a PRIVATE VIEWING.

We choose the setting according to what works best for you, the scale of the painting, and, where relevant, the space for which the work was created.

The first moment belongs only to you and the painting.

Only afterwards do we return to it together in words.

If we meet in your space, the handover also includes seeing the painting in its intended setting — at its true scale, in its actual light, and in relation to its surroundings.

You will also receive a certificate of authenticity for your painting.

4) THE RETURN

Then the painting begins to live with you.

In different light, through ordinary days, among the things and people that are part of your life. What remained almost invisible when you first encountered the painting may take on meaning over time.

About a month after you decide to keep the painting, we meet once more.

We return to the place where we began and look at what time has revealed.

What you have begun to notice. What you see differently now, and what the painting's everyday presence has brought into your life.

This is a time for your own experience, and the final step we take together to bring the process to a close.

If the painting is being created for a specific space, that space becomes part of my process too.

The home you already live in. An interior you are transforming.
Or a new place that is still taking shape.

Alongside the orienting point and inspiration, I also work with its scale, light, materials, colours, and everything that is already part of it or will become part of it.

If you are working with an architect or interior designer,
the three of us can meet together.

You bring your experience. The designer holds the concept of the space. I bring artistic form to the relationship between the two.

The first individual meeting lasts approximately 60 minutes. It is free of charge and does not commit you to working with me. It usually takes place in my studio in Litoměřice.

If the painting is being created for a specific interior, or if travelling to my studio is not possible for you, we can meet at your place or at another agreed location.

After the meeting, I give myself a little time to consider my own response. If I decide to enter into the collaboration, I will send you a specific proposal including the painting format, exact price, completion date, and arrangements for handover.

Only then do you decide whether you want to enter the process.

TIMELINE:
The painting is usually completed within 5 to 7 weeks of confirming the commission.
An estimated completion date will be included in the proposal.

HANDOVER AND DELIVERY: 

I present the finished painting to you in person at a PRIVATE VIEWING, either in my studio or in your own space.

Delivery of the finished painting is included in the total price.

Installation and framing, if required, are arranged individually.
